Reminders

·         November 6-7 – Parent/Teacher conferences
Your child will need to be picked up at 12:30 on Thursday.

·         November 10-14 – Book Fair Week

·         November 25 – Thanksgiving Play- This is usually done in Parish Hall I will let you know more details soon! The children will be coming home with parts. Please practice them :)

Calendar for the Year

·         September 27- Movie Night- 6:30

·         October 2- Fair- Oklahoma’s largest classroom with 5th grade buddies (9:00-2:00)

·         October 15- Jog-a-thon- Bring a water bottle and wear running clothes

·         October 20-24- Red Ribbon Week

·         October 25- PTO bingo night in the gym- 6:30

·         October 31- Halloween Party- 2:00 if we change into costumes; 2:30 if we cant. Homeroom Moms will choose the party activities and favors

·         November 6-7 – Parent/Teacher conferences

·         November 10-14 – Book Fair Week

·         November 25 – Thanksgiving Feast and Play- This is usually done in Parish Hall

·         December – Class Christmas party TBA- We’ll be doing advent activities too. It would be nice for our children to have a book exchange and/or we adopt a family with fifth grade

·         January 30- All Saints Talent Show- 6:30

·         February 17- Mardi Gras (fat Tuesday) – We’ll need a cake, beads, etc. We will start Lenten activities too

·         February 12- Valentine’s Day Party- Exchange cards and Homeroom Mom’s will make choices for our party and activities. We will decorate bags for Valentines.

·         March 2nd- RAD Day (Read All Day) this will be our celebration of Dr. Seuss’s Birthday. Children will bring pillows, sleeping bags, and books to enjoy reading all day long. I’ll ask parents to help provide some healthy snacks to help make this a special day.

·         April 5- Easter – We will not have a party.

·         April 13-17- Book Fair Week

·         April 14- Art show at 7:00- Parish Hall

·         May 10- Mother’s day- Students will take care of this. We may have a mother’s day tea

·         May Reward Day- A few weeks leading up to this day students will earn points for a party. They will be allowed to purchase items from a store such as popcorn, soda, candy, etc. They will be watching a movie and celebrating a successful year

·         Optional- We might have another RAD day. This would be our last one of the year. We will celebrate all that we have learned about reading. We will of course bring books, pillows and sleeping bags to be comfortable.
